We’re always very proud of the fact that our Churp Churp community is a caring one, and never misses out the opportunity to help out those in need. With that in mind, today, we’d like to tell you about an event called A Walk. A Kidney. A Life.
A Walk. A Kidney. A Life. is organized by Idora and her family as part of the Kidney4Daddy project. Idora’s husband, Rizal, has been diagnosed with chronic kidney disease and due to his kidney failure, he is now dependent on a hemodialysis machine. Fortunately, Rizal is young, and doctors have advised that the best solution to remedy his condition is to undergo a kidney transplant.
Kidney4Daddy was then set up by Rizal’s family to help raise funds for expenses leading up to the transplant, the cost of the transplant itself and post-transplant care. There is also a dedicated Facebook page, which the family uses as a platform to communicate, promote upcoming events and sell fundraising items.

Date: 16th September 2012 (Sunday)
Time: 7am – 12noon
Venue: Padang Merbuk Lake Garden, Kuala Lumpur
Activities: Walkathon (appx 3km) RM30 & Car Boot Sale RM50 per parking space.
